Jim McKeever and Lisa Miller head a team of pros with unparalleled expertise, vision and commitment to excellence
Jim McKeever, MSC’s president and CEO, founded the company in 1974 as a consulting firm specializing in construction planning and jurisdictional management. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict, Jim is a lifelong student of the construction industry. He built his company to be exceptionally responsive to and supportive of the needs of building and site owners, architects, engineers and general contractors to facilitate, coordinate, advocate and influence officials involved in government planning, zoning, permitting and environmental, building code and economic development across Greater Washington and beyond.
MSC’s focus always is on helping the construction industry successfully complete projects faster, safely and more profitably. Our business model was devised to efficiently and effectively offer superior, personalized service by industry professionals known for their expert training and aggregate records of success.
In addition to leading the team at MSC, Jim continues to be a proud patron of the arts in Northern Virginia, including stints as a Virginia State Commissioner for the Arts; chairman of the Arts Council of Fairfax County and as a member of the board of directors of the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, among other, prominent leadership positions.
Lisa Miller, MSC’s chief operating officer, holds a BA from George Mason University. Her diversified background includes Project, Program, and Operations Management positions in the retail and hospitality industries as well as the US Department of Transportation.
In the early 2000s she served as the Regional Office Manager for Tishman Speyer’s Tyson’s Corner Office with responsibility for HR and IT Liaison to Corporate Headquarters. This position gave Ms. Miller the opportunity to direct and manage the organizational growth in the region from an operational standpoint while learning the commercial real estate industry in the greater Washington DC Area.
In 2006 Ms. Miller joined McKeever Services Corporation as Director of Business Development and Program Management. By 2010 she was promoted to Director of Operations and in 2013 had worked her way up to Chief Operating Officer of MSC.
Through her tenure as COO at MSC Ms. Miller has implemented a new comprehensive Financial, Project Management and CRM - IT system to improve operations and client service; revamped the marketing and sales department to drive business growth; and expanded offerings to provide General Contractor, A&E and building owner clients with comprehensive, integrated jurisdictional management services.
