The District of Columbia's Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) announced their new online Shop Drawing Application & Elevator Certification system went live on November 1, meaning all shop applications and drawings must be submitted online and paper applications will no longer be accepted.
The new system allows drawing applications to be submitted and paid for online to install, repair or renovate elevators and fire protection systems. An application for elevator certificates can also be submitted directly online.
